A Continuous-Duty Aquarium Dosing Pump
Standard peristaltic dosers are sized for intermittent, timed additions. The Sole fills a specific niche in the Hydros lineup by pairing a cloud-connected controller with a single, industrial-grade stepper-motor pump purpose-built for continuous operation. That makes this Hydros dosing pump well suited to:
- Calcium reactor effluent control
- Kalkwasser additions and top-off
- Sulfur denitrification reactor feeding
- Liquid food dosing
- Water changes
Its wide flow range covers both micro-dosing and higher-volume transfer tasks. The pump accepts 3x5mm tubing with 1/4" push-fit fittings for simple plumbing, and the quiet stepper motor can run in reverse when you need to prime or clear a line.
Controller Features and Hydros Integration
On the controller side, the dual-core processor keeps local control running even without cloud connectivity, while internal health monitoring tracks voltages, CPU load, and internal temperature. Through the cloud-based Hydros app, you get remote monitoring, user-configured alerts and notifications, and scheduling from anywhere.
The Sole works as a standalone controller or as part of a larger Hydros network over Command Bus. It does not include AC outlet control on its own: a HYDROS XP8 or WiFi Power Strip is required to switch lights, pumps, skimmers, and other equipment, and is sold separately.
